    Rockford Park District

    The Rockford Park District is recognized as a national leader in helping people enjoy life. Areas of special interest include: golf courses, indoor ice skating, equestrian stables and riding lessons, a water theme park, recreational pathways, swimming pools and a beach, summer camps and youth groups, team sports and much more. They also provide extensive programs to persons with disabilites. Summer jobs both part time and full time available.

    Outpatient substance abuse treatment services for people of all ages.

    Mental health services for individuals (18 & older) and family.


    Hospice of the Rock River Valley

    Offers support to people who are dying and to those who have loved ones who are dying so they may move towards acceptance and affirming life as well. They also provide free educational programs in the community for businesses, groups, and/or organizations, and provides people with bereavement care and support groups.


    Hope Life Center

    This agency offers free and confidential pregnancy tests, information on fetal development, abortion, abortion risks, parenting, adoption referrals, baby and maternity clothes donations, information on completing education, referrals for community resources, information on sexually transmitted diseases, renewed virginity and abstinence, help for those who have problems after an abortion, goal setting and spiritual guidance, and post abortion support groups.


    Heartland Community Church – Alpine Campus

    Various programs. They offer recovery ministries as well as individualized programs for children, women, men, singles, married couples and families. Programs typically run in 6-8 week intervals depending on the teachings used.

    Easter Seals – Teen Family Support

    Assisting pregnant and parenting teens in developing the skills needed for a healthy parent/child relationship. They offer home visits, Developmental Screenings and support groups, therapeutic services for a child with special needs, training and consultation to support the integration of a child with special needs into other child care settings.


    Boone County Health Department

    Provides programs to maintain and improve health in the community.


    Arthritis Foundation

    Seeks to improve the quality of life for those afected by arthritis. Supports and provides community education programs, water and land classes.


    American Cancer Society

    National, community-based. voluntary health organization dedicated to preventing cancer and reducing its effects through education, information and referral and support services.
