    Abilities Center

    Education, training, and employment for the residents of Illinois with an emphasis on people with disabilities, economically disadvantaged, and housing development residents. Services include assessment/evaluation, computer training, a variety of skills training programs, and employment services.

    Ablest Staffing Services

    Professional placement servics with direct hire ooportunities in areas of accounting, manufacturing, sales and administrative services, engineering, marketing and finance.

    AI Morrison Baseball

    Offers a youth baseball league to residents.

    ALDA-Association of Late-Deafened Adults

    Online groups, Outreach and advocacy, Presentations, Publications, Social Activities. ALDA-ROCK is continuously trying to promote deaf awareness and to provide support to surrounding areas. Open to people of all ages no matter the degree of hearing loss. Provide fellowship and support.

    Alerta

    Provides assistance to Hispanic residents to help them access community services; also sponsors scholarships.

    Alzheimers Association Northern IL Branch

    Offers a variety of services to Alzheimer’s patients, families, and caregivers and to professionals on the subject of the disease.

    Alzheimers Association Rock River Branch

    Support offered to patients with Alzheimer’s, their families and caregivers which includes support groups, 24 hour Helpline, referral to community service, and access to up-to-date information on therapy, research, and ultimately a cure.

    AMBUCS

    Provides funding for accessibility projects to promote mobility and independence.

    American Cancer Society

    National, community-based. voluntary health organization dedicated to preventing cancer and reducing its effects through education, information and referral and support services.

    American Heart Association Regional Office

    Provides community awareness programs that educate the public about making heart-healthy lifestyle choices and the symptoms of heart disease and stroke as well as ongoing opportunities for professionals to keep abreast of current trends in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Also provides referrals to social services, research information, and educational and printed material

    American Lung Association of Illinois

    Provides information and educational material on lung disease, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, lung cancer, asthma and others.

    Anger Alternatives

    Classes and support group to eliminate chronic anger.

    Anger Alternatives at Hope Church

    Anger group. Tuesday evenings 7-9 pm. $5 per session

    ARC of Winnebago County

    Services adults and children with developmental disorders through a wide variety of programs, such as resource and referral, skills training, education, and advocacy.

    Arthritis Foundation

    Seeks to improve the quality of life for those afected by arthritis. Supports and provides community education programs, water and land classes.
