    KSB Hospice

    Provides the elderly population with home health care, assisted living, personal care, nursing and personal care, residential rehabilitation, rest homes, senior citizens centers, intermediate care, and convalescent homes.

    Lee County Council on Aging

    Provides seniors in Lee County with opportunities for enriching their lives. They perform health screenings, and vision assistance and screening, and offer a bus that is usable for people who have disabilities that takes them to various places they may need to go in the community. Assistance is available for seniors who are caregivers, and there are many social events are available.

    Meals on Wheels

    This program provides nutritious meals to senior citizens in the community, and the meals are delivered to their homes. They also deliver to people who are homebound, disabled, frail, or at risk.

    Northwestern Illinois Area Agency on Aging

    Non-profit organization who helps older people gain independence and live with dignity, and improves the quality of life for older persons and thier caregivers. Services include: information and assistance, resource center, pharmaceutical assistance, caregiver and grandparent services, employment assistance and elder abuse.

    Salvation Army

    Offers a variety of social welfare programs, recreation and youth programs and men’s rehabilitation center. Free clothing with agency referral.


    Local transportation for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and general public.

    Tri-County Opportunities Council

    Provides education, support, and motivation for participation in organizations that help low-income individuals. Also offers foster grandparent, head start, and homemakers programs, and assistance with paying for energy services, weatherization and housing, and job opportunities.

    VITAL Adult Literacy Program

    Recruits and trains volunteer tutors to work one-to-one with adults who want to improve their reading and writing skills or, who need to learn English as a second language.

    Woman Infant Children – WIC – DeKalb County Health Dept

    A nutritional program for pregnant women and children under the age of five years.
